I tell you what, school starts here next week, and I need all of these in my life! I’m so BAD at planning out breakfast! I need to start making overnight oats again- they’re so amazing!
School has already started here — and these look like delicious options to fuel the kids for a busy day — and I know we wouldn’t get any complaints for things like coffee cake, muffins and scones. “I said EAT YOUR COFFEECAKE!” – yeah – like THAT would be an issue… It would be nice to bring some muffins to the teacher, too, don’t you think?
I know right ?! Muffins and Scones are the perfect thank you gift for a teacher!
What a great collection of breakfast ideas. School is just around the corner, and mornings are about to be a whole lot busier for many families. I am going to pass this along to my daughter. Both the grandkids will be in school this year, and they have an 8:00 a.m. start time. I’m sure she and her husband will find this helpful.
Thank you Gloria! We have to leave the house early too, so these have really helped. The kids love the muffins with some fruit and yogurt.
What a great collection of recipes! I have friends who are gluten- and dairy-free, so I like to keep fresh ideas on hand for when we get together for coffee. That coffee cake and the recipes for scones will absolutely fit the bill for our next gathering! What a gorgeous crumb on that cake, too. It looks like it came from a bakery!
Thank you Amanda! I know you and your friends will enjoy it!
Amazing round up! I remember the first time I saw those almond joy scones, I knew I had to make them. They’re still on my pinterest list but it’s going to happen! I’ll have to send this to my DF friend, she’ll be over the moon with all these options.
Thanks Carmy! The scones are little biscuits of heaven. I hope you try them soon!
End of July? We still have a couple more weeks here. Though it’s never too early to start thinking about quick, school morning breakfasts. I love all the options you have here, especially the muffins and the overnight oats. I think they’d be big hits with the kids.
Thanks Annemarie. Yes, the kids have been in for 3 weeks now! The muffins are always a huge hit.
What a great list you’ve compiled here. I’ve bookmarked quite a few so I don’t have to rack my brain wondering what to make. I love that most of these recipes can be made in advance and frozen, which will really be helpful on the many busy mornings coming up. Thanks for doing the leg work.
Hi Debra. Thank you! I am glad that these can be helpful. Have a great week.
This is one fantastic list. I really needed some ideas and you’ve given them to me big time. I can’t believe that they are gluten and dairy free. I don’t have a problem but I’m sure the people who do have tummy problems would be grateful. I think all of the recipes look and sound very appetizing.
Thank you Marisa! It is hard to get creative sometimes with multiple food allergies in the home.
Ugh, kudos to you for having it together enough to track down not one but TEN great breakfast ideas at this time of the year. My kids aren’t back in school yet but it’s just around the corner and I don’t feel prepared enough yet. I’ll have to show them the list and ask them what they’re most likely to repeatedly ask me for instead of toast or cereal in the morning. Haha. And while we don’t have any gluten issues in our home it’s always nice to be able to shake it up a bit and get out of the usual grain rut!
Thanks Sean! The blender muffins are always a huge hit with my kiddos!
What a great list!! Even though we’re not gluten free, I love having these options for our friends who are. Drooling over that chocolate banana bread – it looks so incredibly moist and delicious!
Fabulous collection. I have to pass this on to my friend, because she’s GF and was recently talking about breakfast foods she misses! She does so well given her restrictions, and she’s so great at finding substitutes, so I know she’ll appreciate all of these gems. Heck, I’d enjoy them too!
