In addition to have a gluten allergy, my daughter and I are also lactose intolerant. Because of this we choose to have all of our family meals gluten and dairy free. Luckily, Trader Joe’s has come a long way with their dairy free and vegan options.

Recipes Included in this Trader Joe’s Meal Plan
- Lasagna Soup: This recipe is super easy to make and you don’t need lasagna noodles for it, any gluten free short noodle will work such as elbow, fusilli and penne. I also buy the Melange a Trois frozen bell pepper pack and that makes this recipe super fast and easy.
- Garlic Pasta: This vegan recipe is fast and easy to make! I love serving this with a simple salad.
- Herb Rubbed Pork Chops: These cook up fast and go great with any veggie side dish. If you have any potatoes on hand then you can add them too.
- Chicken and Rice Soup: This is a staple in our home and we make it often, espically when someone has come down with a cold.
- Spaghetti with Chicken Meatballs: I don’t have a recipe on the blog for this because it’s simple to throw together. How to make it: Start by cooking your gluten-free noodles. While it is cooking heat a skillet on medium heat with 1 tbsp and oil and add the meatballs, brown them up and then add your sauce. Place a lid on top, bring to a simmer, reduce the heat and cook for about 7-10 minutes on low heat. Once the noodles are done drain them and rinse with cold water. Add the noodles to the sauce and serve!
- Burgers and Fries: I buy the 4 pack of burger patties, season them with salt, pepper, granulated garlic and dried parsley. I then grill them to our desired doneness and allow everyone to build their burgers. If you want extra toppings on these be sure to add that to the list! You can get iceberg lettuce, onion, tomatoes, and avocado at TJ’s too.
- Fish Tacos with Mango Salsa: This recipe is one of our favorites! If you have little kids you can just give them the fried chicken pieces if they aren’t into tacos. TJ’s sells fish pieces which make this recipe more affordable and easy to make!
