BBQ Chicken Sandwich Recipe

Ingredients needed to make this BBQ Chicken Sandwich Recipe
Boneless Skinless Chicken Breast: 1-2 pounds depending on how many you are feeding
Onion
BBQ Sauce: Now, you can use a jar of store bought, but this sauce is so good! Plus you only need half of it, so if you make it you can freeze the other half for easy weeknight meals.
Gluten Free Burger Buns: You could totally use bread in place of buns, or even bagels!
Shredded Cabbage or Coleslaw
How to make this Crockpot BBQ Chicken Sandwich Recipe or Instant Pot BBQ Chicken Sandwich Recipe

It’s so easy! Take all of your ingredients and throw it into the Instant Pot or Crock Pot.
For the Crock Pot you will cook in low for 6-8 hours.
For the Instant Pot you will cook it on poultry mode.
After the chicken cooks, remove it from the pot, shred it with a fork and knife and then add it back to the pot and stir it into the sauce. Let it sit in the sauce for about 15 minutes before serving.
I make my sandwiches by spooning a generous portion of chicken on our gluten free buns and then topping it with shredded cabbage, or coleslaw.

Ingredients
- 2 cups BBQ Sauce
- 1 onion diced, yellow is great
- 1.5 lbs boneless skinless chicken breast
- 4-6 gluten free buns
- 2 cups shredded cabbage
Instructions
- Add the BBQ sauce, chicken and onions to the Instant Pot or Crock Pot.
- In the Instant Pot cook on poultry mode.
- In the CrockPot cook on low for 6-8 hours.
- Once it is done cooking, remove the chicken and shred it with a fork and knife.
- Place the chicken back in the IP or CP, stir it well to coat it and let it sit for 15-20 minutes.
- To serve add a generous amount of chicken to your bun and top it with cabbage.
