Jalapeno Burger Sauce

I recently created this jalapeno sauce recipe for burgers to give the perfect amount of flavor without overwhelming our mouths. Jalapeno burger sauce is the perfect spicy burger sauce without making it too spicy with just straight up jalapenos on the burger. If you like a little kick this jalapeno sauce will be perfect for you!

This post has been sponsored by Canyon Bakehouse. Living Freely Gluten Free believes in sharing all of the gluten free goodness and Canyon Bakehouse is our go-to burger bun for our entire family.

Since going gluten free we have become big burger people. Maybe because in the beginning burgers (lettuce wrapped of course) were one of the only things we could order when eating out. Regardless, this family can’t turn down a burger. However, eating a lot of burgers can get boring, so it’s important to spice it up.

Jalapeno Burger Sauce

In this family we prefer things spicy. We love that kick, but all at different levels. My husband wants to sweat it out, however I like it just enough to give it crazy phenomenal flavor without pain, and my 9 year old likes it just a little bit milder than I do.

Since we all want spicy, but at different levels, a sauce or spread is perfect. We can use as much or as little as we would like to make it to our liking.

The great thing about this spicy burger sauce is that it’s not limited to just burgers. I love dipping my fries in it as well. But, if you really like things saucy then you might want to double this recipe!

What ingredients do I need for this Jalapeno Sauce?

ingredients needed to make this jalapeno burger sauce

It’s essential to keep it simple and that’s exactly what I did here! Just a few pantry staples to make it happen…

  • 14 oz. jar of jalapenos
  • Avocado or olive oil
  • Sea salt
  • Granulated garlic
  • Onion powder
  • Mayo

How do we make this Spicy Burger Sauce?

Having made this multiple times I have tried this in a blender, food processor and an immersion blender. My first attempt was in a blender and that method did not work! My second attempt was the food processor. That didn’t work either. I ended up having to transfer it to an immersion blender which worked perfectly. So, the third time I made it I just added everything to the cup attachment on my immersion blender and blended it for about 10 seconds. It turned out perfect!

I would highly recommend this sauce be made with an immersion blender . Here is the one I have. For a perfect sauce that isn’t too chunky, start by adding all of the ingredients to the attachment cup and blending well with just the handheld immersion blender.

You can stick this sauce in the fridge until you are ready to serve it. It should last at least 5 days in the fridge.
