We like to keep all of our recipes dairy free too and it’s super easy to make these gluten free dairy free s’more brownies. If your brownie mix or recipe calls for butter or milk you can simply sub it with vegan butter and coconut or dairy free milk. If you use my recommendations below then there is no dairy to worry about. 

What are gluten free brownies made of?

Typically they consist of a gluten free flour blend, cocoa powder, baking powder or baking soda, sugar, oil, eggs and vanilla. You can make it from scratch and if you want to I have an amazing and easy brownie recipe in my cookbook, 101 Incredible Gluten Free Recipes. 

Is there gluten free brownie mix?

I love using a box mix for this though because it’s sooo darn easy. Finding a good mix can sometimes be hard, but gluten free mixes have come a long way over the years.

My favorite brand of gluten free brownie mix is Better Batter. It makes a perfect gooey and delicious brownie and is super easy to make. The box has instructions for a vegan option as well.

All you need to make these gluten free s’mores brownies are…

  • A box of gluten free brownie mix, or your favorite brownie recipe
  • Gluten free graham crackers
  • marshmallows


One of the questions I get asked about the most is what brand of graham crackers. There are a few brands that I like, but I mostly buy Kinnikinick because they don’t use cornstarch and my son is allergic to it, and they are also dairy free, so we can all eat them. 

If you can have dairy, Pamela’s graham crackers are great and if corn is not an issue for you then Schar makes an excellent crunch graham cracker.

For marshmallows, I used smashmallow in the past, however I can’t find their products anywhere anymore. I generally look for a marshmallow that is corn syrup free (sons’ allergy) and Dandies or the Trader Joes brand are my go-to. 

How to make these Fudgy S’mores Brownies

Make your brownie batter. Pour into a greased 8×8 pan

Evenly sprinkle the marshmallows and graham crackers on top. I like to push them into the batter a little bit.

Bake according to the box, or recipe directions. The marshmallows will expand in size. 

Serve warm for gooey and delicious marshmallows.

  • 1 box gluten free brownie mix or your own recipe
  • 4 oz gluten free graham crackers
  • 8 oz marshmallows either mini, or regular ones cut in half


  • Make the brownie mix according to package or recipe instructions. Pour batter into a greased 8x8 baking pan.
  • Add the crushed graham crackers and marshmallows to the top. Push sightly into the batter.
  • Bake according to instructions
  • Allow to cool slightly and serve warm for the best gooey marshmallow flavor.
