Watermelon Moscow Mule Recipe
The warm weather is still here, and I am loving being able to invite my friends over for a fun happy hour on my back patio. Living in Washington for the past 3 years made it hard to have time with my girls. Since we are back near our family now, I am planning on enjoying every second I can with the ones I love! We put an awesome table and chair set out back with some fun hanging lights. Since we are here to stay for a while, we have been fixing the house up and making it a home.
We all love a good Moscow mule recipe, so creating a watermelon Moscow mule with gluten free vodka was a no brainer. I was truly excited to work with Prairie Organic Spirits because I have been looking for some great tasting gluten free spirits for a long time. The fact that they are certified organic made them my new go-to. The flavor is so incredibly smooth. When making drinks and looking for spirits, something classic and clean is my go-to.
Gluten Free Vodka
Prairie Organic Spirits is the first USDA certified organic spirits brand- this is huge! They use organic corn from Minnesota family farms and they even launched a Spirit of Change Fund to contribute a 1% of sales to help more farmers go organic! Head HERE to learn more about this fabulous movement.
The crisp and clean flavor of this watermelon Moscow mule truly makes it the best Moscow mule recipe I have made. Nothing beats a light and fruity cocktail that isn’t too sweet while spending time with your favorite people on a warm summer night. My girlfriends loved this drink and we will be making it again soon!
Along with our gluten free Moscow mule, I served organic small bites that were absolutely fabulous! We had fresh fruit, organic hummus with almond crackers, organic Caprese salad apps, and cantaloupe with prosciutto. It all paired perfectly, and they were insanely easy to make in a flash.
What are Moscow Mules made of?
In general Moscow mules are made of ginger beer, lime juice, vodka, and you can add anything else to customize it. The ingredients for this gluten free Moscow mule are…
- Prairie Organic Vodka
- Ginger Beer
- Fresh Lime Juice
- Watermelon Juice- You can buy this in a carton at the store, or make your own by just putting watermelon in the blender and using a strainer to extract the juice.
- Mineral Water
This recipe is made of minimal ingredients that are easy to find!
Does Ginger have gluten?
Ginger root is entirely gluten free. You can purchase it in the produce section. To use ginger you will need to peel it and you can chop or grate it to use in recipes and even make tea out of it.
Is Ginger Beer gluten free?
Traditional ginger beer is a soda and generally it is naturally gluten free. Every brand is different though, so you should always be checking the labels! I have purchased alcoholic ginger beer before that was gluten free too.
This weekend is the perfect time to invite over your friends and put this amazing Moscow mule recipe together! Have you tried Prairie Organic Spirits yet?
