Sloppy Joes From Scratch
Sloppy Joes From Scratch, what a concept- right? Growing up we ate this often and it came from a can. I loved it, what can I say? I would eat it with tater tots and corn and I thought that was the bees-knees. When I moved out I would buy the cans and cook it with ground turkey. That made me feel extra healthy, since I had no clue what healthy was and I though fruit came from cans.

It was a cheap meal and we were beyond broke and it did the job. Back then if I cooked I felt domesticated, so Sloppy Joes and Hamburger Helper were my specialties. Boy, have we come a long way since then. You could never catch me eating those ingredients anymore, but that doesn’t mean that I didn’t enjoy the foods. So, of course I had to recreate the Sloppy Joe, but this time from scratch and much cleaner! I use Organic Ketchup and Coconut Sugar for keeping it sweet, but healthy.
