In a large skillet (my favorite is cast iron) brown the sausage.
Sprinkle the flour all over the sausage and toss with a spatula to coat the sausage well.
Pour the milk, 1 cup at a time and stir well.
Continue to stir while the gravy thickens. It only takes about 3-4 minutes. Watch it because you don't want your gravy to dry out.
Turn off the heat and sprinkle in the salt, pepper and granulated garlic.
Spoon on top of your biscuits and sprinkle lightly with paprika. Serve hot. Enjoy!
Notes
My favorite brands of sausage are Swaggerty's mild sausage or Butcherbox ground breakfast sausage.Better Batter Original Blend is the best for this. You can also use My All Purpose Flour Blend or rice flour, but rice flour doesn't give as great of results as the flour blend. I have tested this recipe with my grain free flour blend and it works for the biscuits and the gravy too if you are looking for a paleo and grain free version. You can use regular milk if you are not dairy free. I recommend a thick milk for this recipe. Almond milk, I feel is a little too thin. Make sure it is unsweetened and unflavored!
