Ingredients

  • 5 eggs
  • 1 cup milk I use coconut
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 loaf gluten free bread I use canyon bakehouse or my sandwich bread recipe
  • 4 tbsp butter or oil

Instructions

  • Start by adding the eggs, milk, cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla into a shallow dish. A pie pan is my favorite to use.
  • Whisk it up real good.
  • Add a slice of bread to the mixture and let it soak up the egg mixture on each side for a minute or so.
  • Heat up a large skillet on medium heat, once it’s hot add 1 tbsp. Of butter and allow it to melt.
  • Once melted, add your soaked bread and cook for 2-3 minutes or until there is a nice golden crust, flip and repeat.
  • Place your cooked French toast on a plate until you are ready to serve. Serve wam and top with your favorite breakfast toppings!
