The weather is still nice and warm where I live. With the warm weather still hanging around, I like to keep creating refreshing drinks to sip on. Some of the most refreshing flavors are crisp cucumber and sweet watermelon. There is nothing better than a fizzy and fresh organic cocktail that will truly refresh you. The best part is that this cucumber melon vodka tonic is gluten free, so you can enjoy with zero worry. Your friends and family will be impressed!

Prairie Organic Spirits is my go-to for gin and vodka. They are the first company to become USDA organic certified for spirits. They take pride in their product and for good reason. Craftsmanship is at the heart of the Prairie Organics brand. The vodka and gin have a corn base that gives it a rich and smooth flavor. The master distillers taste test each batch to make sure it is perfect, so it is “distilled to taste”. Prairie Organic Spirits truly is the best and honestly you can taste the difference. It is smooth and fabulous!

Watermelon and cucumber tonic

I was in need of some girl time. Nothing compares to having your best girlfriends over and just enjoying each others company. There is never a shortage of conversation and it literally fills you up. Whenever I am depleted from anything life throws at me, I get together with my girls and I feel so full afterwards.

My way of showing love is serving food and drinks. Having everyone over for an organic cocktail and Whole30 dinner was just what we all needed. They raved over how refreshing this cucumber melon vodka tonic was and with it being hot outside, it was a much needed refresher!
For dinner I served Herb Roasted Chicken, Potatoes and Veggies. I used all organic ingredients including some baby potatoes and rainbow carrots. I also served a Prosciutto and Pear Arugula Salad that will be in the upcoming cookbook. Dinner was a hit! In my opinion though, my favorite part was having some fabulous watermelon and vodka tonics with my best girlfriends.

Not all vodka tonics are gluten free. You need to make sure it is made with gluten free vodka. In order for vodka to be gluten free, it needs to be made from corn or potatoes. You also need to make sure the mixers used in the recipe are gluten free too. This vodka tonic is entirely gluten free and fabulous!

  • In a cocktail shaker add the Prairie Organic Vodka, watermelon juice, maple syrup, and tonic water.
  • Mix it up and add it to your glass. Feel free to add extra tonic to fill the glass all the way up. I love to garnish with fresh mint and sliced cucumber. It’s also fun to use watermelon ice cubes! To make them you simply cube watermelon and freeze it. Then use the frozen watermelon cubes as ice cubes!
