Upset Tummy Tea

Having any food sensitivities or allergies, you will definitely be experiencing upset stomachs more often than not. One way to help ease some of the stomach irritation is this upset tummy tea to help calm your stomach.

Ginger and Mint are both excellent for an upset stomach and it is a great natural way to begin the healing process. This is a great recipe if you are just starting to go gluten free and you are detoxing. I would recommend you drink this 3 times a day during the first week of being GF, 2 times the second week and once a day the third week. You might find that you just enjoy it after that.

If you like your drinks a little sweet then just add some honey. Please no sugar in this!

Ingredients:
2 Tsp. Fresh Peeled and chopped Ginger

6 Mint Leaves or 1 bag of Organic Mint Tea

2 Cups of Water

Optional- Slice of Lemon, Honey
Directions:
Bring 2 cups of water to a boil with the ginger and mint leaves. Allow to boil for 3-4 minutes and turn off heat. Let sit for 5 minutes (this is when you would add your lemon) then drain the mint, ginger and lemon. Drink hot or very warm.
