Jennifer’s Journal Jan 2018
I had originally thought that Jennifer’s Journal would be a weekly write up, but as of now it looks like it will be monthly. Eventually, I hope to have the time to turn it weekly.
Happy New Year! I hope that you all had a wonderful holiday and new year. Time is flying by fast as usual and I can’t believe the end of January is around the corner!
We had snow over Christmas and then a warm streak! Below is the snow that we got on Christmas day. It was lovely to have a white Christmas.
This month has been difficult for me emotionally because I often suffer from seasonal depression and being away from my family is very very difficult. I am working through each day to stay positive and look at my beautiful family and everything that I have to be grateful for. Including all of you!
Last week it was warm and dry! So beautiful that I had to soak up every second of it. It was in the 50’s, the warmest since 1981 in the Seattle area. I could get used to that. It is wet and cold now again. It was so nice that we decided to make fire in the backyard and make s’mores.
I am working on some new blog posts for Valentines Day. Those will start going up next week. I have a few on the blog already and I will be working on a post to bring them all to one place for you.
If you follow me on Instagram I took over Lunch Box Foods Instastories last week and talked about #wastlesswednesdays. I showed some tricks on how I use the freezer to waste less food!
The kids are back in school and we have been rotating a cold and getting over that. Week 3 of the Meal Planning Program is starting! My favorite part is following the program along with everyone and cooking things I love that I haven’t made in a while. Once week 4 gets started I will have the meal plan on its own for sale in my store.
My Little guy lost another tooth! The tooth fairy forgot to come the night he lost it, OMG. She was swamped and had to head back to Tooth Fairy Land before the sun came up, so she came the next night and doubled the money. Luckily, he was a good sport about it.
I got a beautiful necklace from Kole Jax designs that I am obsessed with! I can’t believe my first baby is going to be 7 years old next month! We are going to the Great Wolf Lodge to celebrate his birthday.
The next few weeks consist of wrapping up V-Day posts and brainstorming for spring. What do you want to see on the blog? I will be finally doing check ups at the doctor (I haven’t been since we moved here in 2015, I know!) because I have been suffering from a lot of hair loss and I am not sure what is causing it, but I need some answers. I will be keeping busy with some PTO activities and continuing to try to figure out if Washington is where we want to continue our journey, or if we need to start trying to plan a move back home.
How has your January been? Make sure to watch Cooking and Cocktails every Thursday at 5pm PST. I am doing a giveaway each week for people who watch live, comment and share the video. Make sure to come hang out to me. I hate talking to myself, lol.
