Gluten Free Snacks: Top 8 Ingredients to
Build Healthy Gluten Free Snacks!

This is a guest post contributed by Enozia Vakil from www.beautyjunctiononline.com

Sticking to a gluten free diet can be a challenging job indeed, especially when it comes to tackling cravings and reaching out for a quick snack. Thankfully, we’ve got you covered in that department! Make sure you’ve got your kitchen stocked up with these snacking essentials and you’re pretty much sorted!

Honey

A superfood and an excellent natural sweetener, honey is a must in your gluten free snack essentials list, especially if you’ve got a sweet tooth. The kickass combination of honey and cinnamon, when combined together with apples, can make for a soulful gluten free snack when those cravings hit.

Carrots

Carrots are packed with fiber, vitamin A and low in calories and cholesterol, which makes them an excellent healthy snack option. Slice a carrot in sticks and sprinkle a little seasoning on top and you’re done!

Cucumber

Cucumbers are another great choice- make them a key component in your mini sandwiches (a good swap for bread) and you can enjoy your favorites guilt-free.

Celery

Celery sticks, dipped in a little peanut butter could turn out to be a good gluten free snack option. Since both these foods have low glycemic levels, they won’t affect your blood sugar levels.

Apple

Apples are a good source of fiber, vitamins, minerals and antioxidants, and baking thin slices of apples for a few minutes can make them those perfect golden sweet crisps that turn out to be possibly the most delicious healthy snack ever!

Sweet Potato

Sweet potatoes can make for the perfect snack option if you’re craving for your good ‘old fries. They are rich in vitamins A, C and folate- just cut ‘em up, put them in the oven until they’re crisp, and season!

Nuts

A handful of roasted nuts make for a powerful healthy snack option, especially if you’re craving for something crunchy and salty. Walnuts, almonds, pistachios and almost all other nuts are packed with antioxidants and make for the best snack.

Popcorn

Popcorn is by far one of the healthiest snacks till date- whether you’re sticking to a gluten free diet or looking to keep your weight in check. Make sure you stick to the regular salt and chili powder for seasoning, or if you want a sweet touch, drizzle a little honey over the top.
