Pudding Cups
Money Saving Tip for Kids Lunches

It’s that time! I cannot believe my boy is starting Kindergarten! He is so ready for this and I think I am too. I will miss having him around and our flexibility to make fun plans during the day but he is really ready to have this independence and be with his peers all day. This summer we have been putting him in an all-day summer camp a few days a week just to get him used to the idea of being gone all day. Our kindergarten program is full day up here and I don’t want him to be shocked. Gradual steps and changes work better for him.

With that said the packing lunch thing has started. With food allergies I need to get creative and make sure that he has things like he likes to eat and that are also good for him.

I found these Organic Instant Chia pudding boxes at Wal-Mart. We are also dairy-free so I use my Emersion Blender to make a GF/DF pudding. I use small reusable plastic containers and portion the pudding and we have homemade DF/GF Chocolate Chia pudding cups in the fridge and ready to go for the week.

It took me about 6 minutes or less start to finish and now I get
to save money and have a healthy treat for the kids.
