Fajita Seasoning
Back in my glutenous days (yes, thats how I refer to my previous life) I bought store bought seasoning packets. That’s how I grew up and I thought that was simply the norm. I guess it is. However, when I went GF those lovely labeled GF seasoning mixes didn’t exist, so I started making my own seasoning mixes and I will NEVER go back.
When I began to read labels I was in shock at what was in a lot of the pre-made mixes. Make your own! It is simple and it takes 5 minutes to throw together a seasoning mix that gives you enough to make 2-4 meals with it. Trust me, it saves money and you know what you are feeding your family. Try it once and tell me what you think.

Ingredients:
1/4 Cup Chili Powder
1 TBSP. Pink Himalayan Sea Salt
1 TBSP. Paprika
1 tsp. Sugar (I use coconut sugar)
2 tsp. Onion Powder
2 tsp. Cumin
1 tsp. Garlic Powder
Directions:
In a bowl add all of the seasonings and stir until well combined. It’s that simple!
Store in a seasonings jar and most fajita packets contain 3 TBSP. so that is about the amount you should use for your recipes. Enjoy!
This is so easy to make and it made our fajitas delicious! I like knowing what’s going into my seasonings; manufacturers can hide so many unhealthy ingredients!
Thank Carrie!
Would you have measurement ideas for an “Italian Spice” that includes oregano, basil, marjoram, garlic, thyme, crushed red pepper and savory (not sure what that is)?
I don’t know what savory is either. I would assume 1 TBSP of Oregano and Basil, then 1 tsp marjoram, granulated garlic, and thyme. 1/4 tsp. red pepper
