Cherry Smoothie

Cherries… cherries…Everywhere!!

My favorite time of the year! I love cherries!! I had 15 pounds of cherries this year and I put them to good use! I used some for my  Cherry Cobbler and then I froze a ton for smoothies.

You know that we make a lot of smoothies around here. I try and push them on my kids daily and they usually drink them up. My Son has especially enjoyed these cherry smoothies I have been throwing together lately.

The great thing about smoothies is you can put whatever you have on hand in them. I have been making a variation of this recipe for the last week. One day I added pineapple and the kids seem to enjoy that a lot.

Ingredients:
1 Cup Pitted Cherries (Fresh or Frozen)
2 Cups Spinach or Kale
1 Large Ripe Banana

1/2 Cup Liquid (I used coconut milk but orange juice works too)

Directions:
Add it all in the blending and blend until the spinach is no longer visible. Enjoy!
